Relaksasi Otot Progresif sebagai Teknik Manajemen Stres pada Keluarga yang Merawat Anggota Keluarga dengan Penyakit Jantung Koroner : Case Report

Penyakit Jantung Koroner (PJK) merupakan penyebab kematian utama di seluruh dunia. Proses penyakit yang dialami tidak hanya dirasakan oleh penderita tetapi juga keluarga yang merawat. Keluarga bisa mengalami berbagai macam perubahan seperti rutinitas, aktivitas, peran, status kesehatan, status finansial yang akhirnya memengaruhi kondisi psikologis keluarga. Laporan kasus ini mendiskusikan bagaimana teknik relaksasi otot progresif bisa membantu keluarga yang merawat anggota dengan penyakit jantung koroner. Metode yang digunakan adalah case report. Kasus yang dipilih merupakan kasus yang kompleks dikarenakan anggota keluarga yang dirawat merupakan lansia yang telah didiagnosa menderita penyakit jantung koroner sejak 17 tahun yang lalu dan telah beberapa kali masuk rumah sakit. Kompleksitas yang dialami oleh klien menyebabkan semakin rumitnya permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh caregiver. Teknik relaksasi otot progresif diberikan sebagai intervensi manajemen stres. Setelah menerapkan teknik relaksasi otot progresif selama satu minggu, caregiver melaporkan adanya penurunan stres dan beban yang dirasakan dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang sakit dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya. Keluarga juga mengatakan teknik ini juga mengurangi gejala kelelahan dan ketegangan otot yang dirasakan. Teknik ini dianjurkan untuk membantu caregiver dan keluarga dalam mengatasi stress yang dialami akibat pengalaman merawat anggota keluarga yang sakit.
